Our systems are designed to be resilient to data loss. The hardware used in both our wired and wireless temperature monitoring systems is backed up with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and a system data backup which occurs every 24hrs. Since a lot of our customers are laboratories and hospitals, there are usually emergency generators already in place which can ensure that the system remains running even during an extended power cut or network outage, in addition to the UPS’s. However, even in the worst-case scenario, our loggers will continue to log data for a period of 7 days. This means that once the network connectivity is restored, any missing data will be uploaded back into the system and nothing will be lost. Additionally, immediately on detecting loss of power or network connectivity, the system will alarm so that your team will have enough time to act and investigate and resolve the issue.
One of our customers, Cryoniss, required additional safeguards for their system so we arranged for 2 overlapping systems to be put in place. If, for any reason, one system encounters a disruption, the other continues monitoring, safeguarding all data. This redundancy measure provides an added layer of dependability and peace of mind for the Cryoniss team.
Additionally, if you would like to eliminate the concern of wireless systems signal interruptions, our wired system performs the same tasks as our wireless system but without relying on wireless connectivity. To find out more about our wired and wireless systems, click here.
