What happens with power or network interruptions?
Loss of connectivity can happen for two main reasons: power cuts and network interruptions. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to predict these issues, but we do have functionality in place to ensure that no data is lost as a result of any loss of connectivity.

How frequently are temperature measurements collected and logged?
Our wired loggers take temperature measurements at 4-second intervals whereas our wireless loggers take measurements at 15-second intervals. Each logger then records the worst-case measurement recorded during the log interval and stores it in the database.

Can you monitor any parameters other than temperature?
Our systems can monitor a variety of parameters other than temperature, such as oxygen level, relative humidity, carbon dioxide level, differential pressure, particle count, air flow, door status and motion detection.

What is the difference between temperature monitoring and temperature mapping?
While temperature monitoring and temperature mapping may sound similar, the two are actually very different practices.

What is temperature mapping and do I need it?
Temperature mapping, as you may know from one of our previous FAQ videos, is an exercise that is carried out, using equipment like monitoring probes, temperature sensors or data loggers to record various temperatures in a storage area that holds temperature-sensitive products and samples to see if there are any hot or cold temperature spots.
