Position

I am the Contronics Support Manager. I support colleagues and customers with technical queries and resolve problems. I also manage the maintenance contracts with our General manager. I have been with Contronics for 15 years, before this I was an electronics engineer for a company in the video broadcast industry (The BBC was one of our customers).

Where are you based?

I am based in a sleepy village not too far from Newcastle- Under-Lyme. Although he has now sadly passed away, I was a neighbour of Gordon Banks, Goalkeeper of the 1966 England World Cup team.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

I take my health quite seriously and spend a lot of my spare time exercising with weights. I like to eat healthily and don’t have many bad habits… except chocolate. I also love car-based TV shows like The Grand Tour.

Tell us an interesting fact about you…

I have two university degrees but was particularly proud that I received an award for best student in the first year of my Electronics degree. I scored the highest results ever achieved at that time. I always put that achievement down to hard work which ultimately contributed to a First-Class Honours Degree in Electronics.
