Position

I joined Contronics in September 2025 as Head of R&D and Product Owner. My day-to-day role sees me manage the R&D team, contribute to the hardware design and lead the Product Roadmap. I am from a Hardware Engineering background with my first years of work being served purely as an Electronics Design Engineer before taking on more managerial and product responsibilities. I have a diverse background across the Oil & Gas, Nicotine Delivery and Water Industries working for gigantic global companies to start-ups with 3 people.

Where are you based?

I live on the leisure peninsula of the Wirral situated between Wales and Liverpool. The Wirral is a great place to live, I can be in Liverpool City Centre or on the beach within 15 minutes! I am originally from Solihull in the West Midlands; however I have not lived there since leaving for University in Sheffield. I regularly return to visit family and friends in the area. I split my time between working from home and working at Contronics HQ in Congleton.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

When I am not an unpaid taxi driver for my children, juggling football matches and dance practices I enjoy playing hockey, turning out for my local team on a Saturday. I also enjoy doing DIY and especially woodworking, building the next storage solution the other half has asked for!

I am listed as an inventor on over 30 patents globally. During my time working in the nicotine delivery industry there was a big push on innovation and protecting intellectual property. The development of new and original ideas and keeping up to date with technological advances is something I continue to be passionate about.
