What is the difference between temperature monitoring and temperature mapping?

While temperature monitoring and temperature mapping may sound similar, the two are actually very different practices.

Temperature monitoring is the continuous monitoring of storage equipment temperature, usually using a temperature monitoring system, to make you aware of any temperature excursions that pose a risk to the safety of your products and samples. Temperature monitoring is a permanent way of measuring your storage equipment’s temperature and is the key functionality of our temperature monitoring solution.

Temperature mapping, on the other hand, is an exercise that a field service engineer can carry out to see if the storage unit’s temperature is optimal to keep your products safe and stable. We perform in-house equipment temperature mapping services to do just that.
