Sensors

The accuracy and reliability of the system sensors is a key element of overall system performance. We supply only premium quality sensors from established industry specialists.

The majority of the points we monitor is related to temperature. The reliability and stability of our temperature probes make a significant contribution to the overall monitoring system performance.

Temperature

Temperature sensors are installed to a wide range of equipment and areas. Contronics' Pt100 sensor are proven to have high accuracy and excellent reliability. Our temperature monitoring systems and wireless temperature monitoring systems have the capability to measure temperatures from -200 to 200°C.

Temperature (Product Mimic)

Temperature sensors are installed routinely within equipment such as fridges and freezers where blood products are stored. Regulatory guidelines specify product mimic temperature (also known as core / load temperature) must be monitored in addition to air temperature. We offer a range of product mimics characterised to mimic blood products. Contronics' product mimics are used by UK Blood Services and many other NHS Trusts.

Relative Humidity

Our Humidity sensors have been used extensively for incubators and room humidity monitoring. Cold chain monitoring requirements often include humidity level monitoring for warehousing, pharmacy and other controlled storage environments.

Oxygen Level

We install Oxygen Depletion sensors extensively in liquid nitrogen storage areas, linked to our environmental monitoring systems and safety systems. Additionally, we also install oxygen level sensors to CO2 incubators. Contronics oxygen depletion monitoring is routinely deployed to Stem Cell Laboratories.

Carbon Dioxide

Carbon Dioxide level sensors are used extensively in CO2 incubators and room concentration monitoring. We routinely monitor CO2 incubators within cell therapy laboratories together with other parameters covered by our laboratory monitoring systems.

Differential Pressure

Our Differential Pressure sensors monitor both positive and negative pressures between rooms or back to a central reference. Contronics' environmental monitoring systems have full capability to monitor all parameters found within healthcare cleanroom facilities.

Particle Count

Remote Particle sensors installed in cleanrooms and cleanroom isolators integrate with our continuous monitoring and environmental monitoring systems. We supply a 2-channel sensor measuring 0.5, 5.0 μm.

Air Flow

Air flow velocity sensors are predominantly installed to HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) systems for control and monitoring. Typical applications for Air Flow monitoring include cleanrooms and laminar flow cabinets.

Door Status

Our Door Status contacts are typically fitted to fridges, freezers, incubators and walk-in temperature-controlled rooms, to monitor door status and provide early warning, if equipment doors remain open beyond a configurable timeframe. Door status monitoring is a low-cost addition to our monitoring systems providing extra product protection for applications such as freezer monitoring systems.

Motion Detection

We fit Motion Detection sensors to platelet agitators and agitator incubators for continuous monitoring to ensure product integrity is maintained. Applications include Blood Centres and NHS Blood Banks.
